Head of housekeeping is the person responsible for maintaining the yacht’s interior. In this role he/she should have extensive knowledge of delicate materials in the interior such as artwork, silks, leather, china, crystal, marble, porcelain, fine woodwork, and suede. Supported by a team of housekeeping stews, the Head of Housekeeper must manage and create daily schedules and routines for their team to ensure the smooth running of the yacht’s interior and the vessel’s cleanliness. Daily Duties of a Head of Housekeeping include management of the interior and housekeeping teams, cleaning duties, recruitment, purchasing any relevant stock needed, and liaising with other departments.  ​

Key Responsibilities: 

• Managing the stews on housekeeping 
• Wardrobe management 

• Preparing the rooms for guest 
• Packing/un-packing for owner and guest 
• Laundry and ironing 
• Maintaining cleanliness of all linens 
• Issuing and keeping track of crew uniform 

• Creating cleaning schedules 
• Care for plants 
• Care and maintain delicate materials in the interior 
• Stock control and purchasing 
• Inventories on all damages in interior 

Required Skills: 

• Detailing/cleaning all interior areas 
• Eye for detail

• Knowledge of cleaning appliances and cleaning products
